A journey through the heart of Iraq

This carefully arranged 7-day group tour introduces travelers to Baghdad and the great historical and cultural sites of central and southern Iraq. Travel with a local Iraqi team, professional transportation and an English-speaking guide while experiencing the country beyond the usual headlines.

Day 1 · Arrival and Baghdad

Airport reception, transfer to Baghdad, hotel check-in and an introduction to the city. Depending on arrival time, explore selected historic streets, markets or landmarks.

Day 2 · Baghdad and Ctesiphon

Discover Baghdad’s historic and cultural highlights, then travel to Ctesiphon to see the monumental Taq Kasra, one of the most striking surviving structures of ancient Mesopotamia.

Day 3 · Babylon and nearby heritage sites

Visit the ancient city of Babylon, including its monumental remains and museum area, with time to understand the history of one of the world’s most influential civilizations.

Day 4 · Karbala

Travel to Karbala and explore its important religious, architectural and cultural surroundings, with respectful guidance through the city.

Day 5 · Najaf and Kufa

Visit Najaf and Kufa, two of Iraq’s most significant religious and historical destinations, including their major landmarks and traditional urban landscapes.

Day 6 · Uruk and Ur

Travel south to Uruk, one of the earliest cities in human history, and continue to the ancient city of Ur, famous for its ziggurat and its place in Mesopotamian history.

Day 7 · Return and departure

Return toward Baghdad, with timing arranged around your departure flight. Airport transfer and assistance are provided according to the confirmed flight schedule.
